Villages and small towns used to be full of life.

Street sellers, shops and cafes were busy. Chimneys on each roof were smoking. Everywhere you looked, there was some noise and activity.

Today, many house doors are closed (except during the summers). Small shops are closing down. Many neighbours moved. Young people are bored and planning to move to big cities.

The only hope is local people who want to restart their towns and light up their streets with activities. Even during the winters.

Introducing Pilots, Sende’s project which brings activity and people to your small town. We bring international remote workers, creatives, and cultural workers to spend time in your village while organizing coliving experience and cultural activities with locals during slow months.

These local persons who want to restart their towns are people who care about their neighbourhoods. They might be city council mayors,  organization, a local activist like Fabrizio, or any other person who can connect a public initiative with a private.

After organizing a Pilot project in your community, we create a sustainable plan so you can continue attracting visitors for years to come.

Pilots project revives villages in a good way. It’s sustainable and it is cheaper than installing 12 benches in the empty park.

Sende Pilots team will fully organize everything, from start to finish.

Pilots adapts to the local reality of your territory and each experience is specially designed.

Sometimes we transform museums, libraries, or tourist offices into coworking or cultural spaces (often underused or closed during winter).

Or we promote your area’s natural resources while converting old school spaces  into creative workspaces during slow seasons.

In Stintino, we invited artists who created pigments for painting using local rocks, and heritage chefs who reimagined traditional dishes, or game designers who built a video game. Together with locals, we cooked, fished, sang, cleaned, and built. Pilots brings not only economic benefits to your community but also — and more importantly — a meaningful cultural impact.

We were organizing similar experiences since 2014 with our project Cohubiting. It's when we learn that bringing digital nomads to your place is not actually the right recipe to revive a place.

Luckily, we figured out how to work with abandoned spaces through coliving and culture.
